It was about Aetna, my medical insurance company, and the struggle to find a new psychiatrist who will accept a single case waiver agreement (accept in network payment although they are out of network).
It also mentions my plight with recovery from anorexia and conveys my frustration with bureaucratic red tape and mismanagement. Ahh..I'm angry all over again.
I would be glad to send it along to you if you'd like. Great question!
Yes please! Send, send, send! That goes for any other brave commenters too!
P. S. I know what you mean. We pay through the nose for my sister's psychiatrist. Same thing for his nurse practitioner who I see. It's not easy having ADHD or in my sister's case Asperger's.
Contemplative, I hope things go more smoothly for you. I know I should feel grateful for the amount of good health I have and for still having health insurance but the changes to coverage have been frustrating (I owe 10's of thousands for an emergency surgery last year that would have been a simple co-pay the year before)I'm not sure how much they are going to cover for whatever needs to be done now. I have added you to my prayers.
Maybe "Ahh...I'm angry all over again" as a six with the poem as back-story (if you care to share, you know we enjoy the read.)
AngstyPoet,
I write all sorts of bad poetry...all the time.
The last thing I worked on was more like a journal in retrospect. I've recently begun to write about moments that were of importance (inspired by many Sixers questions)
I can't afford the co-pay for therapy so writing's cheaper ;-)
I'll send the current one to you.
I just completed one about the chemo experience - submitted yesterday to a magazine here in Oz - expecting rejection letter in next few weeks LOL
About Six-Word Questions
SMITH Magazine brings you an entirely new kind of six-word experience: Six-Word Questions. This is the place to pose a question to the SMITH community from, "What are your favorite Six-Word quotations" to challenging members to pen Six-Word Obituaries to the recently departed to Six-Word jokes and any other Six-Word question you can dream up. You can even request that the responses be in six words. Everyone has a question—what's yours?
