For some strange reason I always crack up when someone says "apparently". Don't know why but it is the way they say it with a very straight face. Also when someone says "Dear Mother of God." I say it a lot, and people seem to crack up when I say it.
"Listen." Dude I'm talking, you should listen. I go through fads with words. Apparently I say listen a lot because my friend and I skyped. We hadn't talked in a long time. She said she missed the way I said: listen & ya know.
Reiterate. I say it to the kids all the time. Once I said it to a two year old, and a stranger told me that I shouldn't be using such 'big' words around him. I told her that he knows exactly what it means, because I taught him! And to this day, I still love using the word reiterate!
Apparently TheAngstyPoet likes the word 'apparently' too! :)
My son's first big-boy word was "inappropriate". He was maybe 2 when he mastered it. Will always be one of my favorite words, because I hear it in his lil voice.
ok, so i'm not the only one who gets frustrated at adults who think it's somehow "inappropriate" (smile to mary) to teach young children big words. i've never understood the thinking behind this! one of the things i loved about the harry potter novels was the fact that j k rowling DIDN'T dumb anything down. i think she figured that if kids ran into a word they didn't know, well, that's what dictionaries are for....hello...
Luminious- my life is full of light and moments that shine! I use the word as much as possible. Plus I just like saying it with my Mike Doughty accent.
SMITH Magazine brings you an entirely new kind of six-word experience: Six-Word Questions. This is the place to pose a question to the SMITH community from, "What are your favorite Six-Word quotations" to challenging members to pen Six-Word Obituaries to the recently departed to Six-Word jokes and any other Six-Word question you can dream up. You can even request that the responses be in six words. Everyone has a question—what's yours?

Exponentially. I just like the way it sounds and all the muscles it uses when it's said aloud. That's all:-)ba_miracle says,

"Compassion" - because it was a painful, blind struggle to find it in my heart. But now I try to hold on to it as if it was a baby.NumbrOneAunt says,
