accidentaltourist says,

Not yet. Where are my local Vets? :-(

ctgoods2 says,

I keep mine in the basement, but I know of several public places where they can be found bearing poppies and rememberances.

accidentaltourist says,

You keep a vet in your basement??

I usually buy one from the vets selling them outside the grocery store...but they weren't there. I like to hug them and tell them thanks too. Guess I'm going to have to go vet hunting.

ctgoods2 says,

lol - yes, mother is a ladies auxiliary VFW chaplain - she also shares our home - her living area is in the basement.

accidentaltourist says,

Nice. My sons are vets but no poppies. :-(

jene2008 says,

Yes, we did. We actually went through the road block while looking at houses. Ours were "Forget-Me-Nots" this year, but still for the local veterans. It was so hot while there were standing out there. I felt for them and thanked them.

Cirota says,

Hey accidentaltourist, please never say "go vet hunting". We vets are a nervous bunch to begin with ;)

Knoxena says,

You can always go you your nearest American Legion Post, Vet's Hospital, etc. Or ask me, I'd be happy to send some. The poppies are sold to assist the Vets in the hospital. The monies are use to buy personal products like soap, razors, shaving cream, etc. Please don't forget them.
