Okay, we've all heard of the famous, 'The dog ate it' excuse. However, for me...the dog really DID eat the kids homework/project and I had to write a letter to the teacher explaining the situation. Needless to say, she wasn't amused but the kids in the class were!
In middle school, there was one class that I was regularly tardy. It was impossible to get from one side of the school to the other, take a bathroom break and get to class on time. I would write excuses like "I had to help Paul Revere on his horse", "Betsy Ross ran out of thread so I ran to the General Store", "Sat with Chief Joseph to smoke the peace pipe", The teacher read them, chuckled, then tossed them in the trash. Even more amazing, he was my Algebra teacher. :-)
This is So not creative, sorry but I just could not think of something and I hate to lie to someone so traffic and illness are pretty good excuses.

I always use that I was caught in traffic or if I really don't want to be at a place at all, I say I'm not feeling well and can't make it.maryjane31 says,
