Dean6805 says,

A better question: what is the purpose of posting Bible verses that subtly serve as accusations?

RachieRae says,

Puls the verse is pretty straight forward. We do have to be so careful not to use the Bible as a devise to beat people into moral submission.

tonyglim says,

As William Shakespeare wrote, "The devil can cite Scripture for his purpose." Read Matthew 4:5-7 (Bible). Do you, Eternally, practice what you preach?

KharisJo says,

It seems to me you're putting the cart before the horse here E. As a Christian, I love my relationship with Christ and the life-affirming sense of joy and impact He gives me every day. Because I enjoy abundant life in Christ, it's no sweat to not do the things He says not to. Why? Because what I have is so much more. When you have relationship, in Christian terms outlined in the gospels, the responsibilities make sense. Blessings and all the best with your writing.
