I don't know why, but I consider it a hint about what's inside their hearts. If someone I know hates animals - or animals hate him or her, I typically avoid that person.marymc says,

I have never actually known anyone who "hated" animals. However I've met plenty who are allergic to them, especially cats. If I ever met someone who really hated them and was cruel, I would personally hunt them down! They could never hide from me. I volunteer down at our local shelter and I actually feel love for everyone of those animals.
