Mourningdove: Not nuts at all. Do "they" really inform us as to the side effects that are being seen or are really happening when those chemicals are combined?
Mourningdove when you take more then one med try to take the others 15 minutes apart with a full glass of water. Your doctor will never prescribe anything that will harm you. If you did react negatively to any drug, call him and he will take you off of it. Also make sure you read directions as to whether you take some meds with food or not. Very important. No you are not nuts. I suffered awful headaches from Lipitor and was taken off immediately. We all worry.
Don't take for granted for a minute that a doctor will never prescribe something that will harm you. Only you can be your own best advocate. Most pharmacists are more up to date on med information than are MDs. If you get all your meds at the same pharmacy, their computer program should catch any glitches in med regimen. Barring that, there should be no need to take oral meds separately unless directed. AND beware of loose advice tossed out to you online, including mine:-)
More than I wish I had to take. Lost count but have a list somewhere and I always take with me to any medical visits. Only three are necessary and the rest are occasional (altitude sickness meds when I am in high altitude, stuff like that). I take vitamins and Vitamin D(research has shown that it is really important if you have had a melanoma or don't want to get one).
I take four and trying to narrow that down. L2L3 is right, make good friends with your pharmacist! I think Dean's squirrel's are in my yard, I may need another pill!
No. Various ones. Without them I would be in some state of anaphylactic shock. I take about seven that are commonly known, the rest are unusual ones. And yes, I am worried about my liver. But in order to remain alive to continue to worry about my liver I kinda need to breathe. That means taking these pills. You know when you are seen at the Cleveland Clinic and they call you an interesting, yet perplexing case it's pretty much trouble. I'm allergic to things like being touched, the process of vulcanization, getting hot, getting cold, not to mention an exhausting list of foods. I can (and will) become allergic to more as time continues. Me and my epi-pens... We are besties.
