Level1 says,

I like cold milk with ice.

MrsPremise says,

I love pizza with pineapple and green olives, sometimes onions.

Level1 says,

Mrs P, I kind of get it - sweet, salty, cheesy :-)

jene2008 says,

Dipping your burned cheese toast into your tea! Yum! Was my favorite when I was a kid.

Dean6805 says,

Hot Wendy's french fries dipped in your chocolate Frostie!

backstagewriter says,

Dry sandwiches. Always.

jl333 says,

Chocolate covered apricots. Gotta try it!

mzejay says,

Bacon Dark Chocolate candybar, not for everyone, but I love them.

Seraphina_Lullaby says,

Little ham sandwiches made with little cinnamon rolls instead of bread.

Level1 says,

SL, I think I would like ham sandwiches on cinnamon rolls :-)

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX says,

Goat cheese, Buckwheat groats, Egg creams, Cel-ray tonic, Chop suey, Mincemeat, Hot dogs, Broccoli rab, Dove bar....

RachieRae says,

Dean6805, you are on to something! That is what I was going to write. :)

Level1 says,

Love egg creams :-)

favepeep says,

I recently tried peanut butter and rhubarb jelly, which was delicious.

sisterpoet says,

dim sum

Hannahmo says,

Popcorn with chocolate syrup. It's very sweet. If you want a more fruity flavor, try popcorn with strawberry syrup. :)

sisterpoet says,

chocolate covered bacon

Level1 says,

Sister, you and mzejay have something going there. Along that theme, my dad used to sprinkle brown sugar on bacon when cooking it. That was very tasty!

jl333 says,

At our local fair, Chocolate covered bacon is a huge hit. Who knew??

Level1 says,

Jl - do you like chocolate covered bacon too? I may have to give this a try.....

jl333 says,

I don't think I have the courage to try chocalate covered bacon. Honestly, it doesn't sound that good to me. However, if I was on the game show Survivor, then I would definitely give it a try!

Believe says,

Blue cheese and honey, a famous one.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX says,

Head Cheese, Sweet Breads, Brains, Kidney Pie,

Level1 says,

So far Delta there hasn't been anything that you've named that sounds weird I've eaten - and enjoyed all (except for the groats - I have no idea what these are):-)

Believe, yes, that is a very good combination!

lillybrook says,

Sweet potato fries dipped in honey. Chocolate cake made with mayonnaise.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX says,

Level1...you don't think Head Cheese sounds weird? The question is "what sounds weird, but tastes good" I agree that all these things taste good, but I sure some of them sound unappetising, to say the least.

Level1 says,

D - yes, you're right. I was thinking not so much the sound of the food itself but an off sounding combination of foods. And, yes, head cheese most certainly does sound weird :-)

LeeLee485 says,

Raw onions dipped in ketchup. When I was a kid, my onion fell into my ketchup and I ate it anyway. It was the beginning of a lifelong passion.

marymc says,

Dates, split open, stuffed with peanut butter and rolled in sugar.

Level1 says,

Oh my! Mary, I have to give that one a try!

Believe says,

Oh, Mary, I think that one might take the cake on this list.

marymc says,

As a kid, I couldn't wrap my head around how I could love these so much and they weren't chocolate.

Level1 says,

Mary - just tried a peanut butter filled date. It's quite tasty, I must say!

DynamicDbytheC says,

After a hard run I eat dill pickles and dip them in ketchup. It really tastes good.

Level1 says,

Like a burger minus the burger and bun, DD?

DynamicDbytheC says,

A poor woman's burger.

RainhaMom says,

Avocado milkshakes.

Level1 says,

Rainha, now that really does sound weird!

RainhaMom says,

OMG it's so good! I learned to make them while living in Brazil. I also ate avocado popsicles and avocado ice cream. And they thought it was very weird when I made some guacamole. They wouldn't touch it! What? Salt on your avocado? How could that be?
So, try the milkshake: milk, avocado, sugar, a little vanilla if you want. Blend until very smooth and creamy. Yum!

JAD says,

I always go back to whole pickles with a peppermint inserted, yum! yum!

Amapola says,

Crispy roasted grasshoppers. Tastes like nuts.

Amapola says,

Boiled egg w/soft yolk mixed with olive oil, vinegar, salt & pepper. Spread on buttered toast. Eat while still hot.

Level1 says,

JAD, I think that is the weirdest one yet!

jl333 says,

Just out of curioustiy JAD...how on earth did you ever come across mixing pickles with peppermint?? Some interesting combos here.

StacyJane says,

Peanut butter and bacon sandwiches!

Level1 says,

Stacy - I believe that was one of Elvis's favorites :-)

marymc says,

Clearly, peanut butter is the world's most perfect food.

ba_miracle says,

You guys make me hungry!

Level1,
cold milk with ice sounds good with a peanut-butter banana sandwich.

Pineapple, pepperoni pizza dipped in ranch...yummy!

Hot movie theater popcorn with peanut M&M's melting inside.

Curly or criss-cut fries with ranch and ketchup

Kraft macaroni and cheese with fried (a little burnt) hot dogs or bologna

Just tried ...beet and goat-cheese salad at cheesecake factory last week, couldn't believe how delicious! (goat-cheese was rich smooth and creamy...never would have "thunk it")

JAD says,

Level1, it is indeed weird, jl333, started as a child, my siblings and I would go to the local grocery store and buy pickles daily, I believe it started with the sour pickles we had to have something to offset the sour taste. One of us realized the peppermint was the perfect thing. After that we used it for dill and sour. And that's the pickle saga.
