Comfort item when you feel sick?

Backstory

When I was a girl, I got sick quite a bit. My mom would use the hand crank ice crusher to make me slivers of crushed ice. She always gave me ginger-ale for nausea.A cool washcloth on my forehead for a fever.
When I was a young teenager she died. I remember being sick and crying because I realized no one would ever be there to take care of me like my mother. Thirty years have passed since she died. My husband is the only person who has come close to giving me that cared for feeling. At the first sign of illness, he gets ginger-ale, puts clean sheets on the bed, makes sure I have whatever I need. I am truly a very lucky wife.
