Are messianic Jews (or Gentiles) offensive?

Backstory

I go to a church that celebrates the Jewish feast days and such, but if you do much looking at all on-line about messianic Jews or Gentiles most people tend to get angry and say it's hypocrisy. How or is a messianic faith offensive?

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX says,

those who live a life controlled by religious hypocrisy and myth are offensive to me....you did ask.

KharisJo says,

As a Christian I celebrate the fact that some of the Jewish faith believe that Jesus Christ is the Messiah predicted in the Old Testament, becoming Messianic Jews. As detailed in the New Testament, Christ's death became a new covenant for all peoples of the world - everyone has relationship with God only by faith in Christ. Some Christians choose to symbolically celebrate our Jewish heritage by eg. preparing a Passover meal, but this is not required. I don't choose to do that but don't find it offensive. People express their spiritual beliefs in various ways.

Delta: I appreciate your honesty
KharisJo: Interesting opinion, I love hearing what other people think. Every opinion has the unique ability to influence other's thoughts and ideas... Yay writing!

KharisJo says,

ditto Mhone, people and their ideas and opinions are so interesting and the question was very original.

JbY says,

It only depends on how you perceive.
