My Mom died on January 4, so the last Christmas, after six years of battling Cancer, was less than stellar. That was so long ago, but it still haunts me every year at this time.
My Uncle Bob pressuring my dad to bring us all to Christmas Eve midnight church service (after 7 hours in a station wagon) and my dad telling him to knock that shit off. I love my dad.
Delta, I'm so sorry for your loss. It's also quite the coincidence - my mom died on January 4th, too - it will be 30 years ago this coming January. It's a personal ghost that stays with you, isn't it....
