Are cats better pets than dogs?

I wouldn't say better, but certainly easier. I have one of each and the cat is MUCH lower maintenance than the dog. They each provide emotional return but it is the dog that is estatic to see me when I come home. The cat shows a more cautious attention. My previous cat was a complete affection junkie. Every pet is different and gratifying in it's own way :-)

One of my fav coffee table books is "Why dogs are better than cats" by Bradley Trevor Greive, so funny. Must say I love them all. Indiana above has a penchant for attention, likes to sit on top of whatever you're doing.
