Because hearts seem to have the capacity to mend, maybe risk is always inherent with love. It is a risk worth taking, although I seem to be reluctant at the moment!

Amen, squared! I've learned this year that one is never safe from heartbreak. Even if you want to forego romantic love and just focus on loving your kids or your family, you are leaving yourself vulnerable. But what other choice is there? I choose LOVE...kill me though it may!
