Is the SMITHmag bookclub wishy washy?

Backstory

The answer is yes.

We've discovered that too many of us had already read The Glass Castle. So we are changing March's selection to:

The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared

mzejay says,

Read it a few years back. I enjoyed it.

maryjane31 says,

One of my favorites.

Wench says,

Dang, my mom loaned it to me forever ago and I never got around to it. It's buried in storage.

Believe says,

Go to the library!

Wench says,

I'm afraid to, I have three books that I took out for my final project in college some four years ago and never returned. I still have them. Maybe I can drop them off and then bolt for the front door and then come back later and apply for a new card under my new name. =P

canadafreeze says,

Read it a few years ago. Fabulous book. Recently read "Half Broke Horses" by the same author. Another gem.

maryjane31 says,

Also read "Half Broke Horses" and loved it as well. Jeanette Walls is a fabulous writer. Has she written anything recently?

Believe says,

So if we've all read it should we change it up?

canadafreeze says,

I recently acquired The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out The Window And Disappeared. Looks interesting. Haven't started reading it, yet.

jl333 says,

That book sounds interesting CF

Believe says,

Ok, so I will repost!!

canadafreeze says,

I'll start reading it now:-)

lillybrook says,

Glass Castle is awesome. I didn't read Doubt -- maybe I'll get 100 year old done. Summer will be better, though.

lillybrook says,

*revise - Proof. Just saw Doubt (very different story... oops!)

kathi_wright says,

i will order this.

jl333 says,

Just checked this book out from the library. Out of ALL the libraries here in San Diego, only one library had it on the shelf. All other copies in the city have been checked out. I have every intention of reading the book, however, lately my spare time has been consumed with an even that I'm doing. I will try to read the book, because it looks and sounds funny. I can hardly wait for the discussion
