Has water made you feel intoxicated?
Backstory
I do a terrible job of staying properly hydrated. In the past week, I have actually had more coffee than water, which is awful. There have been whole days where I think the only thing I drank at all was a coffee in the morning. I'm not sure why I'm conscious.Anyway, tonight I started drinking water and realized, wow, I'm really thirsty (brilliant). I've had like six glasses of water and now my head is reeling and I feel woozy. A handy-dandy Google search informs me that my electrolytes are out of balance. Hooray. I can't even drink water correctly.

For some odd reason, this memoir cracks me up, especially the Hooray, I can't even drink water correctly!Wench says,
I almost never drank coffee before my son. After he was born I started having one cup in the morning. I usually don't have more than one, but I definitely feel it now if I skip the caffeine. I rarely drink soda, I just rarely drink. It's so dumb. I've had problems with dizziness for as long as I can remember and it's largely because I just don't remember to drink enough water throughout the day.unknown116 says,
I rarely ever drink a sufficient amount of water. I aleways feel so much better when I'm hydrayed, but I hate having to use the restroom all the time. And Jl333, I think it's because she said "hooray", that got me to smile!

Drinking water is my biggest downfall, nutrition and self-care wise. I think of it right before bed, which is not the best time to drink water!! When I was working, the restroom thing was my excuse. Now, I have no excuse. Ok, starting tomorrow...ba_miracle says,
Wench you have a way with words. Your backstory cracked me up too.You can actually overdose on water; learned when a woman died from drinking too much milk on a radio contest.
Until my mid 30's I didn't drink water. It tasted awful...surprise I'm picky about water.
One of my friends was very sick (cancer) and spent her last year working water into every conversation until I finally gave in :-).

I can't say that just drinking water in the course of a day has, but I have definitely noticed that if I am drinking alcohol (usually wine) and I drink water in between, the effects are enhanced. So technically, the answer is yes.maryjane31 says,
Always put ice cubes in your wine and you will not get a headache. This is tried and true, trust me. Also it won't go to your head as quickly.
