Sounds kooky, but I get many of my ideas for Sixes and other stories when I'm either in the shower or driving. What connects me is actually disconnecting. No radio or Internet or television making noise.

marymc says,

My sketchbook goes everywhere with me.

ctgoods2 says,

For me , its water. If I need to work something out, doing something related to or being near water usually gets me to where I need to be in my head. I carry several notebooks, a couple flahdrives around with me as well. The usb cable does play its own role.

maryjane31 says,

I love to watch people. No matter where I am. In the Dentist, Supermarket, or just walking the dog. I love to just watch and sixes just pop in my head.

jl333 says,

I was born without the creative gene.

canadafreeze says,

Driving. Showering. Cooking. Sleeping. Dreaming. I don't know if it can be called creativity - inspiration or random thoughts, perhaps, that come together when I'm least expecting them to ...

ShellDeFelice says,

Sleeping...which is elusive for me right now and connection to others. I am the most "real" or creative when I feel like I'm having an impact or making a positive difference.

JAD says,

Lying in bed meditating while its quiet. All kinds of thoughts come to mind. Some productive some not.

catsmeow says,

Tubes of paint. Sheets of beautiful paper.

BanjoDan says,

I sit at starbucks and use napkins for my notebook
