Sagacious says,

If you mean 'webbed toes'- the word is 'syndactyly'. Where would we be without Google, eh?

Sagacious says,

Sorry ct, I regoogled 'syndactyly' and webbed fingers also fall under that word- not exclusively toes.

Thanks Sag - I'm befuddled by water fowl today. Their beaks are called bills. Their feet are simply called feet? Even though they are webbed and used for paddling and walking? One would think another word would be used for such a specialized appendage, but I am not aware of what it would be. Should be something special like padella or similar I think.

My investigative juices are flowing now. I found a website a minute ago called birdforum.net > Forums > Birding > Information Wanted. The same question you asked was answered on this site.

Thanks sag!
