I'm in the mood for asking the big questions. I can't figure out why Satan (supposedly) even exists. If I were God, I'd have kick that sucker's butt from here to Kingdom Come ages ago. No Satan= no evil- right?
The nuns told me in Catholic school that Satan was more powerful than God. This very much confused me as I was very young and I believed God was all powerful, all knowing, and all forgiving. I spoke to my parents about what the nun had said, and they thought I had misunderstood her. (I had not). Later I asked a Priest about this and he said that evil can be more powerful than good. Told me to look in my bible for the answer as to why God doesn't kick Satan's ass. No one and no where have I found the answer to this question Sagacious.
Remember Satan was good at one time, but wanted more power than God and God kicked him out of heaven. Satan then created his own kingdom that we call HELL. Love to hear other opinions on this question. They both seem to have equal powers and respect free will in humankind.
God allowed Satan to make his own choice. We have the freedom to choose what we do with our lives. Satan had that choice as well.
