In 2000 I considered myself fit and healthy, had just completed a 26km hike when I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer, and in the pre-op testing was found to have a heart condition. Had surgery and had my uterus and ovaries removed, plus had lymph nodes removed and tested - these were clear indicating the cancer had not spread. No chemo or radium needed. I may need a pacemaker in later life but at the moment keep fit with walking. Having cancer was a profound experience and I feel so blessed to be still living with my family and enjoying good health.
