What makes you who you are?



Backstory

I came across a question the other day, "Who would you be if the thing that defined you was taken away?"
First you have to realize what "defines" you, and then you can decide who you would or could be if it somehow is taken away. And then to wonder: is the thing that "defines" you really worth the definition?

"Mothering." Not just my children, but often my students and friends will comment on how nurturing, encouraging, and supportive I am. Without it... I don't think I want to know.
