I never wear THAT in public.

Backstory

I realized it as I was folding laundry....something has changed in my wardrobe, or in my outlook. Many things I might have thrown on to run out to the store in the past, I won't now. Today's acknowledgment was hoodies....both pullover and zip-up. I own several, but it's a very rare day that I wear them outside the house.

Sweat pants, anywhere, ever.

DynamicDbytheC says,

But fishnets go everywhere.

Anything immodest. I never want to be "mutton dressed as lamb".

accidentaltourist says,

Yes, D...everywhere. ;)

marymc...the battleground of all women of a certain age. How old is too old to wear, say, skinny jeans? high boots? spaghetti straps? skirts above the knee?

marymc says,

I have a pair of skinny jeans that I will wear out on a date with the hubby. I wouldn't wear them to a client meeting. Same with spaghetti straps. High boots? Don't have the calves for them. Skirt above the knee I will wear with opaque tights. More than having a definitive cut-off number, I think it's important to be able to honestly assess one's appearance. I don't have a large cleavage. I'm tall and pretty thin. I could probably get away with younger clothes than some women my age, but I prefer not to.

Swirly skirt, knee high boots, and a long sleeved, front zip, black sweater - I'm at home, and feeling pretty sparky. It's too mucky to wear anything decent outside, so I'm In for the day. I agree with marymc - we have to honestly be able to assess what we really look like and go from there.

accidentaltourist says,

Ah....assessment....probably my downfall. :) Today is a work day and a dance night. Pin-striped mid-thigh length black skirt, and a simple black and white striped knit top. Oh...and a red scarf for a belt, a triple strand of pearls and fishnets...accessories are everything. ;)
