My beautiful doll-house. It was my prized possession and I played endless hours with it. It had 3 bedrooms and it came with furniture and a family of 4 little people. I added relatives with wooden clothes pins that I painted smiling faces on. I had a wonderful imagination and was the type of child who could amuse myself for hours. Also a dreamer. My mother told me out of her six children, I was such an "easy" child because I always could think things up to do. Also loved my paper dolls who lived in my dollhouse as well.
My dad made me a Country Mouse House, from the story, "The Country Mouse & The City Mouse. Bunk beds, stone fireplace, shelves, table & bench. I never had a daughter and I never thought my niece was the type to appreciate it. Hopefully I'll have a granddaughter someday who will want to hear stories of how wonderful her great granddad was while we play together.
