Dhani. Because I'm tired of green snakes and because it's only a matter of time before he ramps up again. There's a new person who's next on the list until the novelty wears off and he stops filling multiple pages all at once.
Not yet, but ditto to Marymc's comment. My memoirs have been pretty sad lately so I may have been blocked. Believe, you crack me. Too bad you blocked yourself. You were a featured member this month.
When I was in 7th or 8th grade--that horrible middle school time--there was a girl who told me she absolutely hated the sound of my voice. We had English together (two periods of it, back-to-back) and we often had to memorize poems and recite them. She said she covered her ears when it was my turn. Now, she told me this AFTER we became really good friends in high school. But it made me feel so bad to think my voice would make someone want to cover their ears. The truth is, I probably was showing off, memorizing the longest poems possible. My point? Not sure, except ever since her confession, I've tried not to be too annoying. But sometimes it can't be helped and you find you are just not everyone's cup of tea.
Autumn22 Apropos to your remarks, my signature snake-pic turns many readers off, and because of that, they choose not to read me (or they read & then attack) but I don't give a turd...
Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to be really me. Not everyone's version of me. Maybe the real me is still the same person I present to the world. I talk louder these days. That's something new for me--not to be the "quiet" one. It's interesting how a question can take off in a different direction (at least for me) !!
I enjoy reading everybody but don't want to interact with everybody.
No I won't be blocking but I like that anyone who doesn't want to read me can block.
MARY: did you notice that mrs. steffey herself actually posted a memoir? thought of yours to her when i saw it.
BELIEVE: you are too much! you are the ONLY person on this site who is annoyed by you!
AT: wouldn't block you on a bet :)
DD: i agree with AT 100% - we will always circle the wagons around you.
Those who choose to circle the wagons quickly forget how nasty, just to BE nasty Dhani has been to a number of really nice people. Oh, and by the way, I'm certainly not putting myself into that category, but we know who they are-those who offer nothing but support and good will, never criticize and are generally really swell folks. Dhani's temporary pussy cat schtick, I suspect, based on past comments, is a result of a fear that many would block him and then who would he be able to offend? Apparently this approach is working for him. I think Sag is on target here. I've been here too long and read too much to buy into the changing spots thing. Bless those of you who are more forgiving...or forgetful;-}
Yeah, bless the 'forgiving', but avoid hypocrisy, right? I truly appreciate your comments (Sag & the robot), they give more than a prrrr or a growl to my memoirs. You inspire me, dudes!
This question and the comments have been enlightening for me. I tend to be more like how ba_miracle commented--I can choose not to interact or comment on specific contributors. I don't even have to read them--I can skip over. Even when there's multiple pages of them. So when would I choose to block someone? If my reaction is always negative? Possibly-- because that's not good for me and blocking is a simple solution here which is not offered in real life situations. I'll have to think to think about it more--I'm so polite, blocking feels rude to me. But, on the other hand, why not be polite to myself for a change?
i'd like to take the opportunity here to clarify that when i saw AT's comment to D about "circling the wagons" i assumed it was directed to DynamicD to assure her that we will never block her because her memoirs are sad and we will support her to the best of our ability. that is why i seconded what AT said. DD has every right to be sad; although i can't do much, i'll never shy away from doing whatever i can do. i'll never block her because i feel for her pain.
it's also important to remember that AT and dhani could have sent their comments at almost the same second and dhani's got posted in between DynamicD's and AT's.
