Turn back time- clock or calendar?

Backstory

Go back a day or two, or further...a week, a month, a year...to another time, another place, another you? What's your pleasure?

canadafreeze says,

Today? Another me in another time ...

Wench says,

Wouldn't go back. Memories serve their purpose, and sometimes I miss people or places or parts of me, but I couldn't go back. This little boy keeps me in the present. He's got a big ol' lasso around my heart, so that even when it tugs in other directions, it's grounded with him.

accidentaltourist says,

Agreed, Wench. But sometimes I still think about going back to a fork where I might choose another path, just to see where it leads.

accidentaltourist says,

Exactly, H....to live one moment or a few, just for a little bit.

accidentaltourist says,

So many...

The nights of camping under the stars with the neighborkids. The family vacations to "educational" places (my mother's insistance). The long, lazy months spent at the lake house. Or maybe to the summer I turned 16, and life was full of bright possiblities for a smart, pretty girl from a little country town.

To relive, not re-do, I realize now. I have thought long about this, and although I posed the initial option of perhaps choosing different paths along the way, just to see where they might have led, when I really think about the decisions I made....I can't see myself, even my today self, choosing any differently. I still think the same way, and I would still have done what I did.

accidentaltourist says,

Yes, I agree with that. I could not choose differently, if it meant I would lose some of the important things and people that came into my life as a result of those decisions. I do, however, sometimes dream that I could rework time, and intersect with certain paths at more opportune times. Ah...such a dreamer, I am.
