Mourningdove says,

Got mine yesterday, headache today.

jl333 says,

Get mine every year! In fact I think I wrote a memoir about being sandwiched between two sick people while waiting in line for my flu shot about 6 weeks ago.

H2point0 says,

Literally don't have the forty bucks.

Wench says,

Our family doesn't get the flu shot. I got it as a child and still got the flu, multiple times. At our old church, there was a girl older than me who couldn't speak, had trouble walking, had convulsions and whose mental and physical growth were severely stunted. When she was two, her mom took her to get a flu shot. That's what happened to her. There's also a really sad but fascinating interview online with a former cheerleader who can now strangely only speak normally and move without violent convulsions if she walks backwards or runs. These cases are rare, but the benefits of the flu shot don't outweigh the possibility, at least for us. Especially since it's never stopped me from getting sick.

maryjane31 says,

No flu shot. Had bad reaction and never got it again.

accidentaltourist says,

I have never gotten one. I suppose I believe in the theory, especially for those who are in high risk jobs...around lots of people all the time, for example. I have had the flu a couple times.....uncomfortable and annoying, but not horrible.

Mourningdove says,

I need to get it, with asthma and working in ER, just good for me. Im glad you can choose though.

MsKillie says,

Flu shots are unnecessary in my opinion, and they have mercury in them! My family avoids meds, we prefer natural remedies.

DynamicDbytheC says,

I get one every year since I had cancer. I also get one to protect the people I work with from being exposed to the flu. Plus, James is going through chemo (again) and if he gets sick it could be the end of him faster than from cancer. One year he didn't get a flu shot, didn't believe int them and then he got the worst flu of his life. I sailed through that winter without a sniffle. After that, he gets a flu shot the first day it is available. I rarely get sick (except for three cancers, ugh). The flu shot and GREAT and frequent hand-washing all winter works wonders.
