Depends on the kid. We were almost never allowed to have candy. We went out for halloween only a few times and had to choose eight pieces of candy and give the rest away. Not cool. Is it any wonder I have such a sweet tooth now? =P
We never had candy in the house except for Halloween. Mom would snitch all my snickers and Reece cups, so I had to hide them and always have a number count. Had there been computers at the time, I would have comprised a complete spread sheet. I will NEVER understand stealing from your kids. And I developed a ridiculous relationship with candy that took years to overcome. So I say, let them eat it til they get sick.
Or until they don't get sick. There's so much less motivation to keep stuffing it in when you know there will still be some there tomorrow. And the next day.
About Six-Word Questions
SMITH Magazine brings you an entirely new kind of six-word experience: Six-Word Questions. This is the place to pose a question to the SMITH community from, "What are your favorite Six-Word quotations" to challenging members to pen Six-Word Obituaries to the recently departed to Six-Word jokes and any other Six-Word question you can dream up. You can even request that the responses be in six words. Everyone has a question—what's yours?
