I scooped ice cream at the Jersey Shore back in the 1970's. Laid on the beach all day, scooped ice cream and flirted with the pizza boys all evening. At midnight we'd close the shop and take a case of beer up to the beach and drink and talk for a couple hours. Go to bed and do it all again the next day. It was awesome.
that would be great! Well, I would not drink, but I would love to just be able to hang out on the beach and soak up the sun! I would totally love to have a job like that
Worked at a local restaurant after school waiting tables at the dinner hour. It was the best job I could find at age 16. Made a lot of tips which I felt so proud of. Loved earning my own money. Gave me self-esteem.
I waited tables too. At a burger joint. Great tips, lots of people to talk to and a good man to work for (made sure us girls didn't miss important events even if he had to wait tables himself that night & he was ok with me doing my homework if we weren't busy).

I wish I had behaved kids in my neighborhood or even at my church! I have babysat a few times, but I don't like it very much.maryjane31 says,
