Genre of music you can't stand?

Wench says,

For a while, I thought it was death metal. But then I dated a death metal guitar player and got used to it. Then I thought it was rap. But I heard some rap songs that really impressed me and realized I like a lot of that, too. So then I figured it was hip-hop. And although a lot of that does irk me and that voice wiggle Mariah does weirds me out, it's not all bad. Thought it was country, then moved to a farm and found myself tapping my toes to some slide guitar and tight-blue-jeans lyrics, and what do you know, country singers seem to honor and even glorify at-home moms with babies, and I'm one of those. So now I know, after eliminating quite a few options, beyond the shadow of a doubt, the genre of music that has absolutely no redeemable value, and I'm sharing with you today in order to spare you the pain. Smooth jazz. Smooth jazz is the worst music of all time.

marymc says,

I hate jazz too. It's like everyone's playing a different song at the same time.

jl333 says,

Me three. Don't care for jazz.

Sagacious says,

Country and jazz.

Steve__Anthony says,

opera and rap.

accidentaltourist says,

I have a hard time really appreciating any genre that doesn't make me dance.

Hannahmo says,

Hardcore punk/ screamo music.

ba_miracle says,

I enjoy many types of music but have to be in “a mood” to listen to certain genres.

I could listen to White Zombie, Tchaikovsky, Nat Cole (preferably his daughters renditions), Rush, Brett Dennen and Black Eyed Peas followed by Bob Marley as a house cleaning playlist together.

Death and Thrash metal, I don’t get. It seems as if the whole genre could have been sufficiently covered by a couple bands...It all sounds the same and for some reason that makes me feel very old. I haven’t heard any new industrial stuff I can get into (I’m stuck on Front 242 or older NIN.)

Musicals, I’m on the fence.

MsKillie says,

Country. Everything about the music, the style, the slang- it all makes me cringe.
