Are you kdding??? I could start a career here. Think "Smith Leaks." Relax everyone, my lips are sealed. I plan to write a memoir or two, eventually, when I have more time to write a good backstory, about a recent excursion involing multiple sixers. For now, this: In the past year and a half or so, several SmithMAG community members have opened there hearts and even there homes to me. I used to refer to many of them as my "online friends." I can no longer legitimately do this. They have become simply "my friends." I do not, by the way, use this term lightly. The difference, for me, between friend and acquaintance is like that between a loaded Great Lakes freighter and a canoe. Friendships are actually, probably best represented by the canoe. Think about it. At any rate, between emails and visits, I could fill a hundred comment boxes, all with funny and happy info, then more, with the realities and tragedies of life. The most real thing about we who gather at this watering hole is that while our differences make us remarkable, our shared emotions and wisdom gained from human joy and pain, entwine us with empathy and keep us together here at Smith and beyond.
