Yes. I dance when I'm happy for the joy and dance when I'm sad because it soothes my soul. If I'm out watching a live band, I have no hesitation to get out on the dance floor by myself, even if I'm the ONLY person on the dance floor. And no alcohol needed .... I drink water all night !
Contra, waltz, swing, tango, salsa, yes (although I'm only good at the first and ok at the second and barely accomplished in the others). Kitchen dancing, yes. But put me in a party with 'party music' and I am lost.
Yes please. Partner dancing preferred (swing, cha-cha, I suck at waltz), but I AM a hippie at heart so a really good jam will have me dancing with myself.
I used to get rides with strangers up and down the east coast, going to dance festivals. It's a shame the people were so creepy, I loved the dancing, itself. I love that eye-contact is important for balance, I love the way it feels to spin around in a circle ten time in five seconds or to be dipped so low your head almost touches the floor. I really miss dancing. Would love to take lessons with my hubby. He slow-dances with me, though, and I love that too.
