MO_Thoughts2 says,

United States and Canada (but just to Niagra Falls)

BanjoDan says,

Have worked in 20+ countries on assignments with USAID and served in the Peace Corps in El Salvador. My dream is to live in a houseboat in Amsterdam's canals!

TheProsperousArtist says,

Born in US, traveled Europe, Caribbean, Canada, Mexico.
Spent 1.5 years backpacking southeast Asia - Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei.
From there ended up 3 years in Australia - got citizenship - dual national.
Returned home briefly, spent six months traveling Canada and Alaska.
Since coming back from that adventure, have spent 17 years in exotic New Jersey - longest I've lived anywhere.

accidentaltourist says,

Never lived more than stone-skipping distance from the river that wends its way through my state. Visited Europe once, but only long enough to know that I should have been born there.

Dhani says,

Sweet memories from Canada, Mexico, France, The Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Indonesia, the Phillipines, Hong Kong and Thailand. Traveling is a blessing, even tho' 'wherever you go/ there you are'...

TheAngstyPoet says,

Wow you guys are all so well traveled.

@Dhani, funny you mention the Netherlands, my bff is going to school there!

p.s. there's a summer program for next year that would take to me Australia, seriously considering it since my financial aid kicks in :)
By the way last spring break, I went to Germany, Poland, Czech Repub, stopped for lunch in Slovakia, & Hungary. I want to go live Berlin so badly.

TheProsperousArtist says,

TAP, feel free to ask me about Australia if you go - beautiful country.

I also traveled the Netherlands twice - learned to speak Dutch well enough (one semester!) to ask basic questions with minimal accent, and since I'm fair-complexioned and light-haired, people thought I was Dutch. They were very confused when I couldn't respond fluently to or failed to understand their next question!

(I never did really learn the language in Australia. :-)

(Okay, that's not really true, since I still say "rubbish" and "bloody" and a few other things, and I still can't say (or hear!) AW-stray-lya the way the rest of you Yanks say it...) (It's uh-STRAY-lya. Ozzie, not AW-see.)

Dhani says,

(The Dutch make the most splendid breakfasts in the world! Maybe it's because of the cold winters & they need to 'fire up'.. Their variety of breads & cheeses & egg dishes is overwhelming -and they sprinkle sugar & chocolate bits on their toast, I loved it!)
