AT, actually watched a fascinating documentary recently on the affects of names. They have more influence than I realized!marymc says,
My family still calls me by my middle name because James and Mary had 2 kids and named them James and Mary. (Stupid move). So after, they decided that might get confusing (MIGHT?) and they call me Beth. Once I went to college, I went by Mary. I'm such a Mary.minerva00 says,

This question (and its answers) really makes me want to know what people's real names are.

I'm not a huge fan of my name, but it's such a part of who I am that I'm gonna keep it. Re the name "Bob", I've never met a Bob I didn't like. @TheProsperousArtist.
