Ever hold Sixes for certain times?

Backstory

If I compose a Six that I think will have impact, sometimes I wait a while before posting it... especially if I've posted several that day or if there is a surge of really good stuff at the moment and I don't want it to get lost in the shuffle. For example: I came up with something last night, but I haven't entered it yet because I don't want it too close to the random word of the day. Is that vanity or selfishness, or maybe just plain silliness? Do you ever do this?

Wench says,

Sometimes I do that if I was going to write something light and I see that someone has written about some sadness they're experiencing.

Dean6805 says,

Ah, I've done that too. Seems insensitive to be silly after someone has just bared his or her soul.

treehugger says,

Totally. I come up with a lot late at night and often save them for the morning. I have started writing them down so I don't forget. I also try not to post more than once on the same page, if I can help it. I have to confess, when there's a whole long list by the same person, I tend to just skim or skip them.

SingerSomewhere says,

I do the same. Especially if I come up with one I really like, and it happens to be late at night. Then, I'll save it for later when more people are likely to see it. Also, I try not to post a bunch in the same day. Usually, I don't allow myself to post more than 3 or 4 a day. I also do the same, treehugger, when it comes to long strings of memoirs by the same person.

accidentaltourist says,

If I come up with more than one seasonal one, I might space them out, so as not to overwhelm.

treehugger says,

I keep thinking there should be a memoirist of the day/week. Not based on any criteria, just random. I have clicked on people's name and read a lot of great memoirs that I somehow missed in my daily (or hourly) visit to the site. It would give everyone a chance to get their missed memoirs the attention they deserve, and also help us get to know one another. Reading all of someone's sixes in order tells a much bigger story. :)
