jl333 says,

Reuse sandwich bags, only use lights when necessary, and use grocery plastic bags for my trash bags.

MO_Thoughts2 says,

Take breakfast and lunch to work instead of eating out.
Rarely have soda in the house. Drink water, tea and Koolaid.
Have the AC set on 78.
Movies are usually from Redbox. Too expensive to go to the movies.
Drive an old but still running vehicle.

Always clip coupons especially today when I get the Sunday papers. Always look for sales and rarely buy anything unless it is on sale. Turn AC at 75 and I rarely buy red meat anymore, way too expensive. I buy lots of chicken and freeze most and you can make anything with chicken or turkey.Today Publix is having buy one,get one for free on l gallon of their Ice tea. Also Thomas's English muffins. I love buy one get one free sales!

No a/c. Color my own hair. BJ's Wholesale Club. Reuse ziplock bags. Groom my dogs. Paint my house. Buy clothes at the Temple rummage sale (someone my size shops at Ann Taylor!) Rarely eat out. No vacations. Don't turn down any art jobs, no matter how minor or low-paying.

MsKillie says,

Coupons and sales. I also buy most of my clothes at thrift stores and resell cool items that I find.

JAD says,

Do my hair(except cut). Shop thrift stores. Buy new occasionally. Cook at home. Eat leftovers(taste better next day). Never go to the movies. Drive older model car(that keeps running and running:).

Coupons, sales, store-brand (some things), one air conditioner turned off half the time, I usually make Constantine's food instead of buying jars, home-cooked meals, older car (completely paid off, no car payments), reuse plastic bags, we almost never buy clothes for Constantine, he has a ton of gifts and hand-me-downs, trash-pick furniture, grow our own vegetables (although I haven't done a great job of that), scythe the lawn instead of paying for gas for the mower, but only when it gets really out of hand, because the yard is huge. Sell our old movies and CDs that we don't watch/listen to anymore, shop yard sales, actually mail in rebates... I bought two $5 outfits for Constantine and got the third outfit for a penny on some ridiculous sale a little while ago. I'm not a crazy coupon lady, but saving money is exciting! We saved $35 on what would have been an $80 purchase the other day just using our grocery store club card. Yay!

Wench says,

I also haven't paid for a haircut in about a year and a half and that had been the first time in years. I dye my own hair and I have only once gotten a manicure or pedicure, in high school, for junior prom, with a friend who had a free coupon. You can save money right there, deciding you don't need to invest $100+ a month on what your hair and nails look like.

We never turn on our AC. When it's hot, we bought a inflatable small pool to dip into to keep us cool (paid $15 for the pool, and we've been using the same pool for 7 years!). We also installed ceiling fans, which is much cheaper to run. We grow lots of fruits and veggies. Buy a lot of my groceries at the .99 cent store. Buy all of my Hallmark cards there too! Shop at garage sales towards the end of the day. People are tired then and don't want to bother with the stuff, so you get it extra cheap. Buy used stuff cheap and resale all the time! Sometimes we hang dry our towels and jeans outside.
