Found a big part when I decided I could handle being a single parent and decided to go forward w/ an unplanned pregnancy alone.
Another big part came when I got divorced and saved my son and I from an unhappy future.
The rest came when I feel in love with the best friend I've ever had and he fell in love back.
Wow! Having a child and being in love with your best friend is the trend here. I imagined that but i have accomplished neither of those yet, so the search continues :) Thanks guys! Good luck on your search Miss Mary!
I have found myself so many times, even in situations, places and within a skin I didn't want to be in.
My all time favorite version of me was sober, a good mom to my daughter, (yes) married to my best friend (never thought I'd be married), excellent group of friends, respected in my field of real estate, serving on the board for my local rotary service club, a regular volunteer at our food bank, financially prosperous and generous. All that without being ashamed or hiding a once difficult past.
I experienced several things that brought my ability to achieve and sustain those things into question for quite some time (years).
I am striving, rebuilding and embracing every single bit of me again.
When I travelled alone to Scotland. It was only two weeks, but it changed me. I found my confidence and a clear sense of self.
