I was voted most artistic senior. It came with a hefty check...more than the valedictorian even. Was a nice lil boost of confidence to take to college.
My grandfather gave me his gold pocket watch when I graduated from high school. I used to wear it on a long, heavy chain. I haven't thought it for a long time. Thanks for the memory catcher:-)
I've got my grandfather's pocket watch, too. He didn't give it to me for graduation but I cherish it (and of course am afraid to bring it out and actually wear it).
seeing dad getting tipsy for the first time... he was so happy!
About Six-Word Questions
SMITH Magazine brings you an entirely new kind of six-word experience: Six-Word Questions. This is the place to pose a question to the SMITH community from, "What are your favorite Six-Word quotations" to challenging members to pen Six-Word Obituaries to the recently departed to Six-Word jokes and any other Six-Word question you can dream up. You can even request that the responses be in six words. Everyone has a question—what's yours?
