scribbling_scribe says,

He should've asked: "Can you cook?"
For the first six months of my first marriage, I fixed hamburger helper and salad with homemade dressing (mayo & ketchup mixed) and white bread with butter EVERY single night. It gags me just thinking about it...

maryjane31 says,

I should have asked "what type of relationship do you expect me to have with your mother"? You would have to meet her to understand why I feel this way.

scribbling_scribe says,

I can relate to that one too, mj31.

mzejay says,

I didn't ask my husband if he could cook, I just assumed I would do it. Turns out he likes to cook and is good at it.

MsKillie says,

Do you still speak to any of your exes? If yes, are they still obsessed with you? Once I'm done with someone, I never go back. I only date guys who feel the same!

MO_Thoughts2 says,

How important is saving money to you ?

Level1 says,

Do you want children?

ba_miracle says,

The children one is important and of course if they have any and how old.

What do you expect a marriage to be?

How much debt, I.R.S., ideas on money?
Religion? Exes? Does he enjoy cooking or eating out? Family relationships? Friendships? Past/present addictions?
Retirement looks like...? Thrill seeker, home body or (hopefully) both?

What trait does he value most about himself? I'd expect the answer to be something like "kindness" and/or "integrity".

Too many questions ;-) It will take years of me knowing someone before marrying again and I have not met him yet.
He will need to know all types of disclosures/disclaimers about me in advance.

scribbling_scribe says,

I agree ba-miracle. Ask all the hard questions first!

ba_miracle says,

LOL and/or just run a background check;-) Almost forgot...Do you enjoy pets? Has to be yes.

DappleGreyMoon says,

Do you fart in your sleep?
