L2L3+Mrspremise: i agree fully. .those are some scary times ..
Delta+bevvie: i haven't those before, thank goodness.. I hope i never do. .i'm sorry you had to.
that was after she read my letter I meant to send to the guy who took my virginity. After that, my life changed drastically - But after so many years it's all forgiven and in a good place. I did tell dad, he went mad, but in the end we all came to realize that love wins everything. I have imperfect parents, but we love each other to death. I was 17.
Dad, "Go get a switch off the peach tree and bring it and your behind right back here." I was thirteen and deserved it. It was my last whippin'.
I didn't necessarily improve the behavior, just didn't get caught. Oh, and Dad cried more than I did.
Actually, it was her silence when she walked away from my six year old self when I told her that her father molested me. Never said a word about, just gave me the cold shoulder. And THAT is my moment. I never trusted her from that day forward.
My mother was a terrifying person. She was ill, I forgive her but we do not communicate.
My last foster mom just knew how to love and her passing (cancer) took a slice of happiness out of life.
I wish you ladies who had moms that didn't believe or act on your behalf, peace and unfortunate understanding. I want to hug your "six year old self" MrsPremise.
and hugs for anyone who wants one. :-)
