We always camped, usually within 200 miles of home, but the long trip to Pennsylvania was my favorite. We toured Gettysburg, and suddenly history was more than a book to study. Beautiful state!
Drove from NJ to Colorado in a station wagon. Brother and I both going through puberty. He was miserable, but I was too busy enjoying riding horses into the Grand Tetons and white water rafting down the Snake River to notice or care. Oh....and cowboys. Real cowboys....
Yearly long weekend before start of school...Hotel Del Coronado, on Coronado Island, near San Diego.
About Six-Word Questions
SMITH Magazine brings you an entirely new kind of six-word experience: Six-Word Questions. This is the place to pose a question to the SMITH community from, "What are your favorite Six-Word quotations" to challenging members to pen Six-Word Obituaries to the recently departed to Six-Word jokes and any other Six-Word question you can dream up. You can even request that the responses be in six words. Everyone has a question—what's yours?
