The PopuList: When to Pull Out http://www.smithmag.net/populist/ Legions of Obamaniacs are dying for the day Hillary makes a graceful exit. The PopuList: When to Pull Out by Jeanette Cheezum http://www.smithmag.net/populist/story.php?did=17058 Everytime I pulled into the gas station I'd cringe at the price of hi-test. I decided that when I got a new vehicle it would take regular gas. Recently we went to the dealership where we did just that. My new crossover uses regular but is also a four cylinder. I was happy, feeling I had made the best decision.

Two months later, I pull up to the pump and the price of regular gas is thirty friggin cents more a gallon than when I made my purchase. The fact I get twenty three miles to the gallon in town, makes me feel a little better.

The PopuList: When to Pull Out by forrest gaddis http://www.smithmag.net/populist/story.php?did=16628 The last show I ever played in a band was a complete and utter disaster. Our name was Pay No Attention. We had little practice, hadn't sold our tickets, and our drummer was MIA. The few songs we wrote had no lyrics. The lead singer decided to just improvise them while we would play.
So at a half hour before we are supposed to go on. We call a friend to drum and just wing it. As out friend shows up to drum, our drummer runs in with his snare drum. We play the show, kind of. If you call that music. We had a friend from a different band sing on a cover of Monkey Man, but we played, made it through the set, and drank heavily afterward to try and forget about what just happened
