More Ethanol means more starving children

Backstory

40 percent of our corn harvest is used for fuel instead of food. When demand for corn increases, the price of corn and all other food goes up. Not just in the USA - but globally. All the socialist do-gooders in the world haven't yet repealed the law of supply and demand.

Starving Children in Somalia don't give a $%&# about your Prius, your bio-diesel, or your good intentions.

7 Bushels of corn can produce enough calories to support a woman or adolescent for a year.

Or 7 Bushels of corn can make 20 gallons of ethanol.

Every time you fill your tank with bio-fuel, a woman starves to death.

How's that for good intentions?
