Prince Charles waxes Alarmist, refutes himself

Backstory

In his taped address to Rio+20:

'he had "watched in despair" at the slow pace of progress on the "critical issues of the day," in a pre-recorded video address in Rio.

He urged world leaders to adopt a more integrated approach to issues such as climate change and food security.

Waiting for the worst to happen would be "too late to act at all", he said.'

Yep, it will be too late to act at all.

Thing is, he makes the case against doing anything at all a little later in the same address:

"One thing is clear. We need to be much more informed about the actual state of the planet.

"We do not have nearly enough knowledge on which to base the decisions that will be the best for the long term.

Yes, you read that right, we DON'T KNOW what is happening with the climate, whether humanity is responsible at all much less how much if any, but OMG WE MUST ACT NOW!

Sheer alarmism, nothing else.
