Harvey in Muncie, Indiana

March 24th, 2010 by Larry Smith

Harvey Pekar HATES going to the airport. But he loves kvetching about it! In “Muncie, Indiana,” Joseph Remnant illustrates a classic Pekarian rant, the latest installment of The Pekar Project.

As always I love reading Harveys work which I first was drawn attention to as having someting in common with the man, when I worked as hospital file clerk.

Anyhow good to see more of Mr Pekars work. Does anyone know how I maybe be able to write to the man himself as he’s work is a huge part of my university dissertation I’m doing for next year. ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

Muncie is a small Rust Belt city whose population has dropped nearly 50% inside the closing 4 a long time. at the same time as it has Ball nation (a best instructional organization) as its anchor and it has the various essential conveniences alongside toll road 332 at the north facet of town, it’s not an area where employers are looking to resettle.
