Call for Submissions: Fray Issue 3: Sex & Death

Tuesday, November 25th, 2008

By Chris Teja

For as long as human beings have been able to write, sex and death have been the topics of choice. And after all, our fascination is no surprise when you consider that these two subjects are on the very short list of things that all people have in common. Regardless of your class, color or creed, we are all sex-driven creatures suffering from a finite life span. Taking this into consideration, you would think that we’d all have to have something interesting to say when it comes to sex and death, right?

Fray, the independently published quarterly of true stories and original art, is currently looking for brave souls looking to share their stories about cemeteries, one-night stands, euthanasia, awkward experiences with prostitutes and everything else you might have to say on the two given subjects for their upcoming Sex & Death Issue. In addition to writers, Fray is also searching for standalone sex or death-themed artwork (paintings, illustrations and photographs) in addition to artists to provide illustration for selected stories.

This is another fun project from our friends at Fray, folks who share our philosophy of giving the masses an outlet for their stories. The only difference in this case being a slight increase is both raunchiness and morbidity. Sounds promising in my opinion.
