Somehow, We Have a Heath Ledger Story

Nearly two years ago, on the eve of the 2006 Academy Awards, SMITH contributor Penelope Whitney interviewed Joy Ellison about her experiences on the set of Brokeback Mountain, where she served as dialect coach. Back then, Ellison explained:

“Heath is very seat of the pants, in the moment, his mind is going a million directions all at once. So as an actor it was even a greater stretch for him to play this character.”
