This is what PURE COMICS are. No where else could this have been pulled off so effectively… and we’re all the richer for it.

    Wheeeeeeeeeeee …
Great. I really adore your drawing style. But one day you must explain me the thing with Reinhold Messner …

    Excellence!

I love the graphic sound effects. (Also, that’s a great fight scene)

  8. Steve Fuentes

Pretty sweet. Love the irony at the end. I really like this cartoonier art style, big departure from Fishtown.

Really nicely done. Beautifully drawn and colored. And I love the use of the music and sound effects.

I have to say, however, that this story would have been just as good—if not better—without any of the voiceover narration. It would be a great “silent” comic!

    Beautiful!

  11. Jeanette Cheezum

    Well planned and illustrated.

the circular narrative is perfect, and as Ayo said, so are the graphic sound effects…you could really FEEL those *scritching* violins driving him to insanity. love the color scheme, too.

  14. Tim Whitcher

Sublime! What a fantastic illustrative style! Both realistic and comic. This is the first piece that I have ever seen by you, and I’m an instant fan.
