What's Your Next-Door Neighbor Story?

Negative Attention Junky

My neighbor uses any public agency she can to wreak havoc and cause her neighborhood residents and others to spend money and TIME fending her off...police, code enforcement (170+ complaints in one year), fire department, etc. Then there are the courts, unpaid contractors, elder abuse and domestic violence...her husband is not safe, she has stabbed her own father. She is 64!!!! She does the opposite of what you would expect...from a civilized human being.

She/they poisoned our trees, took down a fence to come in and chop down a tree that wasn't dieing fast enough for them.

We had to install extensive and expensive security camera like hers.

One of the huge plants she/they poisoned wasn't quite dead after she poisoned it and called fire code enforcement...so, she/they continued to poison it until it finally succummed and we had to dig it out.

It is so bad, we slept better when we saw her "do the purp walk" into a police car on a Wednesday night!

We calculated the time she has cost tax payers with her shenanigans and it is in the millions! Yes, we'd like to have back the money and productive time lost from these last ten years.

We would have to disclose her on a real estate contract to sell this home, it would cost us a ton of money or a sale. It would void a contract if she was not disclosed here in California.

Yes, we'd like to get a life and not be bothered, but, she won't live and let live. It is hard to anticipate what she will do next because we don't think in irrational terms. Her behavior is escalating.

We have a lawyer on retainer to deal with the constant barrage, then she attacks the lawyers and judges both personally and professionally when they don't win their law suits. As far as we can tell she stalks them.

We kinda have to keep one step ahead of her, especially when the local police department calls a meeting and everyone in the neighborhood is asked to be there but them...poor thing, I feel sorry for her given her apparent mental illness. NOT

Don't get me started...

About Next-Door Neighbor

No matter how close or how far, we all live next to someone, and we all have a Next-Door Neighbor story. With that in mind, editor Dean Haspiel asked some of his favorite storytellers and cartoonists to create their favorite NDN stories so we could share them with you.
