the ecstacy of MichelangeoI approached the room with an anticipation that made me have to remind myself to breath. Having crossed half the world and half a lifetime to get to the Vatican, I kept pinching myself that I was actually going to see the work of the Master genious. As we were ushered into the Sistine Chapel, I searched for the ceiling's central panel. There it was.. the moment that God breathed life into Man . The Lord of the Universe touching Adam. Tears came and I was forever changed. Upon my return home, I continue to devoure all things Michelangelo and have felt his spirit with me since that ecstatic moment that transported me into a world of connection to that which is undefinable. My life has been enriched and blessed by this Titan of the Renaissance and I will never forget that day.
