I went to my own funeral
I had emergency surgery for a ruptured aorta at my heart. The surgery was difficult and long. I was in a coma for a couple of weeks. Docs told my folks to consider 'pulling the plug.' When I woke up, I'd had a stroke and was paralyzed on one side of my body.I was able to see and read all the wonderful notes sent to my folks about me.People expected me to die. In the end, I had to re-learn how to walk, talk, dress myself, even eat. I lost my six-figure sales job. Now, I laugh at almost everything.Instead of an expense account and fancy clothes; I dress casually and work part-time answering phones and doing web research at a friend's ad agency.
