tidusd says,

I mean by this, the pointless reasons for some wars, religion, oil, territory with absolutely nothing but respect for soldiers who have to fight. We as a species have a horrific legacy of violence. Stephen Hawking said that in looking for contact with alien life, maybe we should not be so eager. They'd be at least technologically more advanced, just look what happens when humans encounter more primitive peoples. It never goes well for them, why should they be any different and if they have been observing us they will assume that we are all bloodthirsty anyway. All the hate and greed just obscures how beautiful we can be.
